Does it really sound like me?

Yes. After a ~90-second voice sample, Yapr speaks translations in a clone of your own voice. It's the difference between handing someone a robot and staying recognizably yourself across a language barrier.

What happens to my voice and my conversations?

We never store conversation audio or transcripts on our servers. In Standard mode the translation runs in the cloud (we're explicit about what each provider retains). In Strict mode nothing leaves your phone at all. You can delete your voice clone end-to-end at any time.

Does it work offline?

Strict mode and Emergency phrases run on-device, so the essentials work with no signal. Live cloud translation needs a connection for its best quality.

How many languages?

90+ for translation, with a core set of 32 getting the fastest, highest-quality interpreter-grade path — spoken in your own cloned voice. More are added over time.

How much will it cost?

Free to start at launch. Pricing for heavier use will be announced before we ask anyone to pay — waitlist members hear first.

Can I use it in my car?

It's designed phone-first with a hands-free earbud-split mode. Deeper CarPlay / Android Auto integration is on the roadmap.
